You can learn more about Microsoft Edge preview channels in our previous blog post, What to expect in the new Microsoft Edge Insider channels. With major updates every 4 weeks, each release incorporates learnings and improvements from our Dev and Canary builds. You can always preview the next major update via the Beta channelfor example, Microsoft Edge 80 will enter the Beta channel soon, and is expected to release to Stable in February. Microsoft announced earlier this year that its Edge browser would get a common codebase across desktop and mobile, and the release of all Insider channels on Android is the latest milestone in this new cross-development effort. The Beta channel is the most stable Microsoft Edge preview experience. Both the Canary and Dev channels for Android are currently on the version 93 of Microsoft Edge, but the Beta channel is still on the version 92 of the browser. Just like on the desktop, you can install the different Edge Insider channels side by side on your Android phone or tablet. Microsoft made available the Edge Canary and Dev channels on the Play Store back in April, and the release of the Beta channel this week means that the same Insider channels currently available on the desktop are now on Android as well. The Microsoft Edge Beta channel is now available on the Google Play Store, giving Android users another way to get early access to new features coming to the Chromium-based web browser (via Aggiornamenti Lumia).
